TP Surfacing & Coatings recently had the pleasure of transforming the outdoor play area at Bishop William Ward School in Colchester. The project aimed to enhance both the safety and visual appeal of the school’s playground, creating a space that encourages active play and creativity.

Working alongside Playdale, we installed a brand-new ‘Holt’ plastic slide, providing pupils with exciting new play opportunities. To complement the new equipment, our team removed the old surface, relevelled the area, and installed a high-quality EPDM rubber crumb safety surface.

The chosen colour, an eye-catching purple, was selected to match the school’s branding and bring a vibrant, modern look to the play area. The new surface not only brightens the space but also offers long-lasting durability and improved impact absorption to ensure children can play safely for years to come.
