Before the glorious summer played out to the beginnings of darker evenings and cooler nights, the TP Group took the opportunity to close the office on the afternoon of Friday, 23rd August to bring the divisions together for a relaxing afternoon summer fete.
Set against the idyllic backdrop of the gardens at Baddow Park House, staff and their families arrived to the soft strains of music drifting seemingly from the trees. An old-fashioned rope swing, hanging from a grand tree, delighted both the young and the young at heart. The garden soon filled with laughter and cheerful giggles as children and their parents enjoyed the simple pleasures of traditional lawn games, including mini golf, giant Jenga, noughts and crosses, and the 80s favourite – Twister.
The longest and most enthusiastic queue formed for the ice cream van and later that afternoon, the competitive ‘big’ kids were out in droves for the tug o’ war.
Did the best team win?
The jury is still out on that one…
With a succulent hog roast, mixed Mediterranean salads, evening pizzas cooked in the outdoor oven, a pic n’ mix sweetie bar and, of course, adult beverages, it was the perfect way to celebrate a busy and successful summer, TP style!
