In June 2026, The TP Group was once again the main sponsor for the annual Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation charity golf day. It was a pleasure to support the charity with sponsorship, team entry, donation of golf balls and a volunteer to adjudicate the 13th hole in the hope of any holes-in-one winning the £10k prize fund. This most recent contribution takes our support of this amazing youth cancer trust to over £20k.
The golf day raised an incredible £10,500 for the charity, with almost 20 teams taking part from across London and the South East.
The Colchester-based charity was founded in Tom’s memory by his parents Nikki Bowdidge MBE and Richard Bowdidge MBE. Assisted by an incredible team the charity aims to promote the relief, care, wellbeing and rehabilitation of teenagers and young adults suffering from cancer, and their families. They also aim to carry out research and publish any useful results into the causes and effects of cancer in teenagers and young adults.
With three main goals – emotional support, financial support and practical support, the charity raises vital funds in memory of Tom who lost his battle with cancer aged just 19 years old. The charity was created at Tom’s request, when in April 2013, he made the decision around 6 months after his own diagnosis to start his own cancer charity to support teenage cancer patients.
