Significant Carbon Reduction Across TP Group

Significant Carbon Reduction Across TP Group

In line with our commitment to creating Social Value, The TP Group have made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint. As part of this ongoing effort, solar panels have been installed to supply renewable energy, and nine electric vehicles have been added to the company’s fleet, supported by newly installed car charging points.

The solar panel system, in its first full year, generated 8,248 kWh of clean energy, covering 40% of the office’s electricity needs (excluding electric vehicles), leading to a CO2 reduction of 19.81 tonnes—the equivalent of planting 911 trees.

This sustainability initiative delivers multiple environmental benefits:

– Lower Carbon Footprint

– Renewable & Sustainable Energy

– Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions

– Improved Air Quality

– Water Conservation

– Mitigating Climate Change

Despite a 10-day system downtime in June, solar output has been promising, and further performance improvements are expected once regular panel cleaning and pigeon spikes are implemented.

By adding this data to the Thrive Social Value Platform, it’s clear that the 19.81-tonne CO2 reduction has generated £5,934.88 in social value, demonstrating the broad economic and environmental impact of these efforts.

Our progress in reducing carbon emissions is a testament to our commitment to sustainability. With cleaner panels, a growing electric fleet, and continuous improvements, we anticipate even greater achievements next year.

The head office remains focused on expanding its sustainability measures, with solar energy and electric vehicles playing key roles in the mission to reduce the company’s environmental impact and contribute to a greener future.
