This roof space, fire curtain project formed part of the tender for passive fire protection Phase 3 at this site.

The main corridor walls had been patched up and repaired numerous times due to the need to gain access for maintenance purposes and needed replacing due to non compliance. To avoid further damage we came up with the solution of installing fire rated access panels, allowing access into each area, and avoiding any future damage potentially caused by trying to gain access.

We faced some access issues as all materials needed to be brought up through a small ceiling hatch, and all waste materials had to be removed through the same hatch. We also had to create a closable net to stop pigeons flying into the space.

Following successful completion we have been awarded further roof space works for the client.
