Upholding the heritage aesthetic at St Osyth Priory
A treasured heritage asset, St Osyth Priory is a collection of mesmerising Grade I, II and III-listed buildings within a historic park and gardens.
Following a period of neglect, it is now undergoing an immense restoration project to return it to its former glory. As part of the project, new homes will be created on the outlying areas of the Estate as well as the adjacent village by City and Country, who drafted TP Group Painting Solutions to work on this major project.
This registered park and garden contains 16 separate listed buildings and numerous scheduled ancient monuments. The site will comprise two phases, totalling 73 plots with one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. Working within the grounds of a historic country estate, upholding the heritage aesthetic is key. Our experts have now completed the first phase, decorating interiors to the highest standard. We’ve also painted many external elements, including windows and sills, fascia and soffits, cornice mouldings, rafter feet and more. The cladding, particularly, required extensive caulking and finishing with Zinnser Allcoat to achieve superior protection from the weather gods and ensure this historic asset would be restored for generations to come.
The new homes at St Osyth Priory really are special, ranging from idyllic cottages and elegant family homes to stylish apartments. They are a wonderful opportunity to live in a unique setting while benefitting from all that a contemporary home offers. Living alongside the heritage buildings and private established grounds, the Estate’s livestock and natural flora and fauna as your neighbours, the landscape also boasts exceptional environmental and ecological features.
