Resurfacing Potters Field Park, London
Beside the Thames, against the backdrop of London’s famous Tower Bridge, lies Potters Field Park – a green and spacious haven amidst the chaos of central London.
The TP Group was thrilled to be approached by the park’s management team to carry out extensive resurfacing work at this unique site.
Our first challenge was to remove the existing, aging surface dressing to an average depth of 16mm. We then regulated any substrate undulations in order to ensure that the new dressing would be perfectly level, thus minimising the risk of standing water collecting. It was also necessary to remove, reinstall and re-point the kerb edgings and cobbled sets adjacent to the site and then create new drainage slot channels. Next, protective Rhino Guard bollards with extensive concrete foundations were placed strategically beside the footpaths to prevent wayward traffic before finally laying 620m2 of Resin Bound Gravel.
Addagrip’s 3mm Scandinavian Addaset product completes a job well done. The selected colour complements the green lawns and surrounding architecture perfectly.
