The TP Group: a safe bet at Newbury Racecourse
With the support of King Edward VII, the proposal to build Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire was approved by the Jockey Club and the site opened for its first race in 1905.
Since then, the course has seen plenty of action and not all of it equestrian-based. For a brief spell during WW2, it was even used as a makeshift prison. Total Protection Group were proud to be charged with installing a Resin Bound Gravel surface at the entrance of this historic site. The finished surface needed to combine durability with aesthetic sensibility.
Addagrip’s BBA approved 6mm Rhine Gold Addaset product was selected for its elegance and hardwearing properties. With planning and preparation, it took just three days to lay all 571 square meters of Resin Bound Gravel.
Our client, Gibbs Surfacing, were extremely satisfied with our professionalism and with the quality of the finished surface. If you want a safe bet at Newbury, here’s a tip: back The TP Group.
