New decorative floors at Romford McDonald’s
Our client GJB Trading required a new hard-decorative anti-slip surface for the loading area at one of the McDonald’s restaurants in Romford. Works were required to be completed outside of trading hours so our operatives had to plan for working through the early hours of the night.
We began by grinding off three layers of existing floor paint to provide a smooth surface, then applying a full Contar Dekor Broadcast system with silica carbide aggregates. A contrasting colour was needed to indicate where the walkway was. To finish the surfacing, we applied a silver-grey pigmented seal to the main area, and the pathway was finished with a blue-grey alternative sealing.
We had to remove solvent smells efficiently, so as not to put off customers when the store reopened. Working with our usual professionalism, the team utilised store extractor fans and successfully had the restaurant ready to be up and running by the 6am business opening time.
