Advice and action at Gunwharf Quays
Gunwharf Quays is a well-established retail outlet in Portsmouth with 90 popular retail stores and 30 restaurants.
The Total Protection Group were asked to address problems occurring with the existing surface in the shopping centre square. Our client required guidance on best practice and work had to be completed without causing disruption to shoppers, diners and cinema goers. Volatile weather conditions were an added challenge.
After a period of extensive consultation with the client, we decided to remove the existing surface and relay a new Resin Bound surface dressing. Surface removal had to begin at 4am each morning in order to maintain access to local businesses.
Despite awful weather, the entire project was completed within 7 non-consecutive days. The client was pleased by our ‘monumental efforts’ and extremely satisfied by the final result.
