Safe new surfaces at Cambridge care home
The TP Group was pleased to be approached by Foster Property Maintenance Ltd regarding resurfacing works of pathways at Ditchburn Place, a sheltered housing facility in Cambridgeshire.
Consisting of 15 flats across 3 floors, a number of supported extra-care units and communal areas for all residents to enjoy, surfaces at the facility were beginning look very tired, with cracks forming and existing material deteriorating, causing potential health and safety issues for residents, staff and visitors.
Our first task was to excavate the entire 154m² area to a depth of approximately 190mm and dispose all waste from the site. We then put down a compacted type 1 substrate to a depth of 150mm before laying a Terrabase Rustic system to finish.
The selected Oak colour has helped to brighten the area and provide a fresh new look. Works were carried out over a period of just five consecutive days in a manner to minimise disruption to the residents, much to the appreciation of our client:
“The work carried out by The TP Group was first class in all aspects of delivery and quality and, as a result, our client has requested we utilise The TP Group’s services for more flooring projects. Feedback from both the client and residents was excellent and we cannot fault the commitment of The TP Group in offering a professional ‘no hassle’ service.”
